Staff Certificate in Group Dialogue Facilitation
A one-day, hands-on training for Dartmouth staff who want to learn how to design and facilitate structured group dialogue.
- Experience a structured dialogue firsthand before learning to lead one yourself
- Design dialogue from the ground up: group size, structure, prompts, participant preparation, and communication agreements
- Learn a framework for understanding what drives openness and defensiveness in group settings
- Learn and practice intervention strategies for correcting course when communication agreements are violated
- Practice facilitating in challenging moments and receive peer feedback
Upon completion of the training, participating staff members will receive the Staff Certificate in Group Dialogue Facilitation. No prior facilitation experience needed.
This training is offered annually in early December.
